SIX TIPS FOR HEALTHY SLEEP

How well you sleep has a huge effect on your general health – here are six tips to get you sleeping well:

  1. Avoid caffeine 4-6 hours before you go to bed establish a routine
  2. Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning
  3. Don’t oversleep – try to get 7-8 hours per sleep a night
  4. Only use your bedroom for sleeping – avoid TVs and computers in your bedroom
  5. Exercise for 30-60 minutes each day, but avoid high intensity exercise 2-3 hours before bed time
  6. Avoid alcohol right before bed – it may wake you up during the night
