The Benefits of Chiropractic Treatment for Young Athletes

Chiropractic treatment can ease lower back and neck pains. It can also ease tension, headaches, and migraines. Proper care from a chiropractor can also successfully treat pain associated with frozen shoulders. Chiropractors assess your situation and recommend specific exercises which can significantly speed up your healing process. It is important if you are currently experiencing any pain to consult your therapist before performing any exercises to prevent further injury.

This month, we’ll focus on lower leg stretches. The peroneal muscles which run down the outside of the lower leg can be hard to stretch. That’s why these muscles are often neglected in a stretching routine. Here’s how you can successfully stretch them:

1. While sitting on a chair, have one ankle rest on the opposite knee.
2. Using your hands, direct or point your foot (plantarflex) and turn the sole of the foot upwards (invert).
3. Hold this position for 10 to 30 seconds and repeat.
